Pioneering continues
Hello friends,
We just finished the sixth week of DTS today and are starting the national YWAM gathering on Monday. I'm a bit exhausted right now, as is so often the case during a DTS šš„± But overall, I'm doing very well. I just made a very short summary of the last few weeks. Even though everything is always a little bit different, it mostly runs as it always does, which is why I'll keep it short. Most of you have been reading these newsletters for a while now and already know pretty well how things roll down here.
After our return from Asia,Ā we started right away with staff training:Ā 2 weeks of training,Ā interrupted by a more relaxed week of preparation because others were at a leadership conference in Thailand šØš¼āš« This time I was a bit more involved in training and teaching,Ā which was a lot of fun.Ā I taught our staff team on stewardship and outreach leading,Ā among some other things.
The school started on September 14th.Ā We have a really cool group here that really has a heart for the nations and the Great Commissionš
Weekly topics:Ā YWAM DNA/Orientation,Ā Character and Nature of God,Ā Father Heart of God,Ā Hearing God's Voice,Ā Holy Spirit,Ā and Relationships.
In the third week,Ā the students found out where we are going for outreach,Ā prayed,Ā and asked God where they should go. A week later they found out the final teams.Ā Two teams are going to Indonesia. Me and Jenna will be leading a team back to the place we already went to in August (Sorry,Ā I still don't exactly know what about it I can share online and what not haha š ).
Outreach
For the first time in 12 years our campus is sending a DTS team back to this country. Ifeel very honored to lead this team with one of my really good friends and appreciate the trust of our ministry leaders.Ā The outreach in August was successful,Ā and we expect great things from God.
If you also have a heart for the unreached in South Asia,Ā and would like to financially support my work in the 10/40 Window,Ā I would be very grateful.Ā Flights are currently quite expensive (around 1,500 CHF),Ā and I would also love to be a blessing to the people while I'm there. Support here āļø
Our team has 8 really cool students,Ā and I am so looking forward to spread the good news with them.Ā We have already had some awesome prayer times and a beach trip.Ā We have a great group and are all looking forward to the outreachš„

Ginaā¤ļø
Ā Also, I have some personal news:Ā I've been in a relationship for almost two months now.Ā Gina is from America,Ā has also been living in New Zealand for almost 3 years (one week less than me),Ā and we met in Asia in August.Ā So theoretically you've already seen her in the photos in the last newsletter,Ā but we weren't dating at the time.
The only good photo with the both of us lol My shoes got an upgrade We got invited for Fondue by some of my Swiss friends
Next week will be quite busy.Ā We are hosting all of YWAM New Zealand here with us in Whangarei.Ā We will spend our days at the Salvation Army.Ā While the staff from all over New Zealand have their morning sessions,Ā we will have classes with 4 other DTS groups on the topic of "Intimacy with Jesus" andĀ I am really looking forward to i!Ā Since I am a school leader of the host campus,Ā I will have a bit more responsibility than usual next week.Ā But everything looks good so far.
All in all,Ā I am very happy right now and life is good here in New Zealand.Ā Spring has arrived in the meantime and it's often T-shirt weather againš·šŖ» I hope you are all doing well.Ā I wish you all God's blessing and a happy fallš
Blessings,
Jonas
